Economic uncertainty and government policy are putting the buy-to-let sector under pressure, but there are still openings for brokers, says Chris Withers

It’s true that a raft of changes affecting the buy-to-let (BTL) segment may make it appear less attractive at the moment, but the reality is that there are still ways for brokers to develop their real estate business by targeting other segments of the market. Real estate includes residential and commercial occupiers, while premises range from individual buildings, blocks of flats and portfolios. And those buildings can be contemporary, period, unique, or somewhere in between.
