James York reacts to how brokers have been snubbed in the roll out of Flood Re.

This week sees the start of the roll out of Flood Re and brokers aren't exactly being invited to help. Thus far snubbed might be more accurate. Biba, a typically polite but solid lobbyist, called broker options "completely inadequate" - that's a little like your grandmother dropping an F-bomb over Sunday roast!

It makes me consider again, can brokers undo the perception some general insurers have for them?

For many, that's a dumb question with the answers being ‘no, it's the way it's always been
