Brokers are taking more interest in the claims process, but when it comes to appointing loss adjusters, a balance must be found, says Martin Ashfield
Think loss adjuster and most people automatically think of insurers. Think broker and most people automatically think of the customer. But how many people would think of brokers when loss adjusters are mentioned or vice versa?
I’ve been working in insurance for many moons and the claims landscape has changed dramatically in that time. One of the more interesting (and challenging) developments is the interest that brokers are taking in the management of claims for the following reasons:
