Janice Deakin is, very apologetically, late for our interview. It is unsurprising given the events of the day – Adrian Brown has just been announced as Arthur J Gallagher’s new executive chairman for underwriting and distribution, a development that has stirred up interest across the industry. This of course is just the latest in a series of headline-making moves on the part of the broker.
