The fight goes on


The detection of a fraudster making a claim is now common place. Arrests, criminal convictions and the launch of the Insurance Fraud Enforcement Department (IFED) are sending a clear message to fraudsters that the industry is tightening its grip.

However, with the cost of organised fraud currently at £400m a year, there is still more to be done to protect the premiums of policyholders from the impact of fraud.
