Polly loves a little bit of controversy, especially when it comes from an unexpected source, so she was 'all ears' when Phil Bunker, MD of LV Broker, let rip on rival Aviva.
Talking at Insurance Age's sister title Post's British Insurance Summit, Mr Bunker questioned how a broker could recommend an Aviva product when the TV campaign is telling people to 'go direct for the Aviva deal'. He said rather than rebranding the whole business as Aviva, the insurer should have taken a multi-brand approach, keeping the old Norwich Union name in the broker market.
