If one good thing has come out of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) levy debacle, it is that brokers have shown there is only so much they can take.
It is clear that what brokers are being forced to pay through the latest levy is patently unfair and completely disproportionate. And brokers have been kicking back at this injustice.
It's heartening to see but unsurprising when one considers that many are worried as to how they will pay this year's levy. Barbara Bradshaw of the Institute of Insurance Brokers has already predicted this may be the final straw for many.
