As newspaper headlines fluctuate wildly about whether the recession is still throttling the British economy or if green shoots really are starting to appear, many in insurance seem content to believe the industry has had a lucky escape.
Granted, insurance has not borne the full brunt of the downturn. However, with stock values having collapsed over a year ago now, information is emerging to suggest that some insurers may be starting to look at other ways to offset vastly reduced investment
