The Financial Services Authority may have reservations about the broking industry and its inhabitants' ability to abide by its regulatory constricts, but perhaps they should look at the behaviour of brokers in Nigeria to get a sense of perspective. Polly's attention was drawn to Cornerstone Insurance, which said it would no longer deal with brokers. Why? Well the insurer alleges brokers are "hijacking most of the business without remitting the fund due to insurance companies". Mr Adedotun

FCA headcount rises to 5,510

The Financial Conduct Authority grew group headcount from 5,379 to 5,510 its report and accounts for the year ended 31 March 2026 has revealed.
