The Hertfordshire Police and the Insurance Fraud Bureau (IFB) should be congratulated for the successful prosecutions following 'Operation Mysterious'. As one of the insurers involved, we are delighted at the conclusion. Unfortunately, however, I doubt that the convictions will act as a deterrent to others as IFB chairman John Beadle hopes.
The IFB has revealed that there are currently about 30 ongoing operations and 200 people have so far been arrested. I suspect that we are only seeing the tip
