Polly is not often driven to mention a fellow insurance publication but some situations transgress the usual boundaries. The chosen charity at the recent Brokers' Monthly networking dinner was the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) in memory of Institute of Insurance Brokers (IIB) founder, Andrew Paddick. As a yachtsman, Andrew had a lifetime affinity with the RNLI - indeed, the audience seemed to share that affection and affinity, judging by the amount of money collected and pledged -
