Travelers confirms logo dispute with Brolly

Insurer says it takes its responsibility to protect its brand seriously.

Travelers has confirmed that it is the insurer that threatened broker Brolly with legal action over its umbrella logo.

A spokesperson said: "We have one of the best and most recognisable brands in the world and take seriously our responsibility to protect its value."

Brolly is now crowdsourcing a new logo without an umbrella in the image.

It is not the first time Travelers has made legal threats over use of an umbrella logo.
