Castle Cover closes to new business

The Ageas owned broker will no longer sell car or home insurance to new clients.

Ageas has confirmed that its specialist broker to the over 50s, Castle Cover, has closed to new business.

A spokesperson stated: "I can confirm that Castle Cover is no longer open to new business, but existing customers continue to be covered and can renew should they choose to."

The Castle Cover website now states that it can no longer offer car or home insurance to new customers.

The broker was bought by Ageas in 2011 for £52.8m.

Ageas recently announced it is to close the call centre
