Brokers more upbeat as profits returned to positive growth

CBI/PwC Financial services survey also saw growth in business volumes strengthen over the quarter.

Optimism amongst insurance brokers improved in the three months to December, after a decline in the previous quarter, while profitability returned to positive growth, according to a poll.

The latest CBI/PwC Financial services survey found that 40% more brokers were upbeat about the sector than pessimistic.

This marked a reversal from the previous quarter when the overall sentiment was negative by a net 27%.
