Biba welcomes PM’s speech on Brexit

Trade body pleased with strategy articulated by Theresa May and her preferred direction of travel.

Steve White, chief executive of the British Insurance Brokers' Association (Biba) has welcomed the speech by the Prime Minister on Brexit as having ticked the boxes the trade body has been campaigning on.

In her speech Theresa May stated that the UK would be leaving the Single Market and that her government would be pursuing a "bold and ambitious Free Trade Arrangement".

She noted that parts of this could be similar to the Single Market highlighting "the freedom to provide financial services
