Cheryl Agius appointed GI CEO at L&G

Agius moves over from Legal & General’s strategic pension risk transfer team.

Legal & General has appointed Cheryl Agius as CEO of its general insurance business subject to regulatory approval.

She replaces Duncan Finch who is leaving the insurer at the end of the year.

The UK general insurance broking division will report in to Agius and in turn she will report to group CEO Nigel Wilson.

The UK general insurance business sits outside of the US and UK insurance business which is led by Bernie Hickman who was appointed CEO for that area late last year.
