Brit appoints Matthew Wilson as new CEO

Wilson has been with the insurer since 1999 and steps up from deputy CEO.

Global specialty insurer Brit has appointed a new group chief executive officer to take charge of the company in the New Year.

The appointment of Matthew Wilson, who has been group deputy CEO since February 2015, is subject to regulatory approval.

He will take up the role on 1 January 2017.

Wilson began his career with Lloyd's in 1988 and joined Brit in 1999.
