The fraudster has been given three months to pay money back or face jail.
A ghost broker, originally sentenced to 16 months imprisonment (suspended for two years) plus 200 hours of unpaid work in May, has additionally been ordered to pay back £17,000 to those he defrauded.
At a confiscation hearing at Guildford Crown Court 33-year-old Renan Gomes, of Adelphi Road, Epsom, was warned that if he did not pay back the money within three months he could face nine months in prison.
