Legal Protection Group MGA launches

Bristol-based Legal Protection Group will provide a range of BTE and ATE products with limits up to £2m.

Legal Protection Group (LPG) has launched as an MGA in Bristol with Eldon Insurance Services as a major shareholder.

Insurance Age can reveal that the business, which is trading from today (4 October), will provide a full range of before the event (BTE) assistance and after the event (ATE) products including commercial and civil ATE policies with limits of up to £2m.

According to the MGA the BTE products have been designed to solve some common problems associated with legal protection insurance

Broking profits fall at Saga

Underlying profit before tax in Saga’s insurance broking arm fell to £39.8m for the year ended 31 January 2024, compared with £71.5m in the previous period.
