Carl Shuker, the chief executive officer of A-Plan Insurance, was heralded for his career in broking at the UK Broker Awards 2016 last Friday.

Shuker was chosen by the judges for the prestigious Achievement Award for his career at the firm and being an ambassador for the industry.

He joined straight from school and worked his way up to deputy CEO in 2000 and led the management buyout eight years later becoming CEO.
