Profits soar at Simply Business for 2015

Turnover rises by nearly one-third at online broker.

Simply Business has posted a 94% increase in profit after tax to £4.21m for 2015, up from £2.17m the year before.

The results for Xbridge, the holding company for the online broker, also showed that in the 12 months to 31 December turnover rose by 31% to £38.1m (2014: £29.1m).

In a filing at Companies House the SME specialist reported that operating profit jumped by 72% to £5m with pre-tax profit also hitting £5m - a 73% leap on the previous 12 months.

The average number of employees was up 12%
