Jason Anthony sets up MGA

Former OIM underwriting MD has launched MGAM which is set to focus on SME business and is targeting £20m GWP.

Jason Anthony has launched a managing general agent (MGA) which will focus on liability cover for SMEs.

Anthony, who was formerly underwriting MD at OIM (part of Arthur J Gallagher), said he was targeting £20m of GWP for MGAM in its first year of business.

Anthony told Insurance Age that the business was keen to talk to brokers from 1 June and would be looking to offer business that "adds value with either underwriting intellect or distribution".
