Swinton to close 130 branches
Broker announces collective consultation with employees affected.
Swinton is set to close 130 branches by mid-2017.
The broker announced that it was "reshaping" the branch network in response to customer requirements.
The move, which the company said forms one outcome of a broader review of its business model, involves a reduction in branch numbers from 325 to 195.
It added that the development comes alongside significant investment to enhance its digital and telephone platforms, including a new contact centre in Greater Manchester.
