Insurer strikes deal with former CEO in Ireland.

RSA has settled with former executive Philip Smith over the €1.25m (£900,000) he was awarded by an employment tribunal after his resignation from the insurer's operations in Ireland in 2013.

An RSA spokesperson told Insurance Age that the terms of the settlement were confidential.

She said: "RSA can confirm that it has settled its case with former Irish CEO Philip Smith.
