McManus hails Carlyle backing as acquisition plans take shape
PIB open to taking on new staff and buying businesses over the next five years.
Brendan McManus, chief executive officer of PIB Insurance Brokers, has confirmed the business will be targeting specialist commercial broker acquisitions following the investment by private equity backers The Carlyle Group.
However, he highlighted that the firm would also be seeking to recruit further to deliver growth.
"Our strategy is twofold. Firstly it is to have a good organic platform based on recruiting good quality people and obviously that costs money," McManus told Insurance Age.
