MUM launches PI product for brokers

Boardroom meeting

CEO Charles Manchester says the conditions are now right for such products.

Manchester Underwriting Management (MUM) has launched a professional indemnity product for brokers that provides cover of up to £10m, Insurance Age can reveal.

Charles Manchester, MUM's chief executive officer, said that the firm had partnered with CGPA Europe, part of a French insurance company, to deliver the product.

The CEO said professional indemnity (PI) was the insurer partner's principal line of business and so it understood the product and was in it for the long-term.
