Insurer increases standard limit of indemnity for standalone commercial legal protection policies.

Legal expenses insurer Das has increased the standard limit of indemnity available for its standalone commercial legal protection policies.

The insurer said the amount has risen from the previous standard of £100,000 to £250,000 and does not incur any additional increase in premium.

The maximum amounts of compensation awards payable by the policy have also been increased from the previous standard level of £1m to £2.5m at no additional cost.
