Zurich to cut up to 440 jobs from UK general insurance unit

Zurich has announced plans to cut up to 440 jobs from its UK general insurance business to reduce costs and simplify its operating structure.

A statement released by the provider said it has begun consulting with its employees on the proposals and will be supporting them through the change.

It noted: "The proposals to cut jobs are underway and will continue until the end of March next year.

"At the moment it is not possible to announce the majority of the specific changes as they will be worked
