Insurance complaints fall 13.6%

FCA reveals a drop in the number of complaints about general insurance to 1,204,783.

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) revealed that complaints about general insurance (including PPI) fell to 1,204,783 - a 13% drop compared to six months ago.

The FCA pointed out that complaints about "other general insurance" also fell 4.3% to 304,919.

While PPI accounted for less than half (41.3%) of complaints for the second time in three years, and fell below one million complaints per half year period for the first time since 2012, it remained the most complained about product.
