Century Underwriting launches property owners product

Century Underwriting has launched a property owners product and appointed Martin Hughes to lead its UK property division.

The specialist commercial motor MGA said the new product will complement its existing motor fleet business.

Century detailed that the product is the first of a number of new lines which it will launch as part of its diversification plan to become a multi-specialist lines business.

The MGA said Hughes has over 40 years insurance experience and brings unrivalled specialist underwriting knowledge and contacts to the firm.

He was previously a divisional director at Lonmar Global Risks and before that he was managing director of Towergate London for 10 years.

Guy Fraser, managing director of Century Underwriting, said: "We are proud to be launching the first of our new lines and delighted to welcome Martin on board."

He added: "Our reputation for consistently delivering expertise and quality service to our brokers will always remain our primary concern.

"I'm excited that our new property owners line is now open for business and as a result we are well on track to delivering on our long-term planned growth."
