Deloitte: Insurers risk losing customers to new entrants

Firm says insurers need to up their digital game to meet demand for smartphone GI apps.

General insurers risk losing their customers to new entrants unless they step up their digital game according to research from Deloitte.

The business advisory firm's study, titled Insurance Disrupted, shows high demand for smartphone GI apps but slow uptake.

Demand for these apps was highest among the 25-34 year-old bracket (77%) and the appetite was also strong among the over 55s (57%).

Aviva doubling down for customers, says Martin
