FCA appoints Jonathan Davidson as new director of supervision

Jonathan Davidson, a member of JLT's strategic advisory group and a former COO at Direct Line, has been appointed as the Financial Conduct Authority's (FCA) new director of supervision for retail and authorisations.

The regulator said he will take up the position in the autumn and the role was created as part of the body's new strategic approach, and reflects the fact that it now supervises over 73,000 firms.
