Ex-QBE chief Ash Bathia joins Lloyd's syndicate
Bathia will become the active underwriter for the Capita-led syndicate.
Ash Bathia, formerly chief underwriting officer at QBE, will become the active underwriter for a new Lloyd's syndicate.
Capita Managing Agency and Istmo Re have received approval ‘in principle' from Lloyd's Franchise Board to establish the syndicate under the management of Capita.
Capita said Istmo Re has been operating as a reinsurer and insurer throughout the Latin American market for 35 years and brings significant distribution opportunities in that market to the syndicate.
