Industry needs better communication, says Allianz's McGinn

Commercial general manager's warning comes after FCA review of industry's SME claims service.

Simon McGinn, Allianz's commercial general manager, has warned that communication needs to improve within the industry following a Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) review which found that many small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) suffer a poor claims experience.

He also said the question of who is driving any given claim is an area that requires greater clarification between insurers and brokers.

The FCA's review focused on claims over £5,000 and assessed 25 firms, including insurers
