S&P assigns Ageas an A- rating

Ratings agency says outlook is positive for insurer.

Standard and Poor's has assigned Ageas Insurance Limited (AIL) an A- rating with a positive outlook and said it reflects AIL's status as a core subsidiary of the Belgium headquartered group.

The agency said the rating derives from AIL's role as the group's single largest non-domestic non-life insurance business and its belief that it would benefit from the full financial support of the group if required.
