Operating income drops 7% in Aon’s broking division

Unit saw revenues decrease in the first three months of 2015.

Aon has reported a 7% fall in operating income for its broking division to $412m [£271.98m] for the first three months of the year.

The risk solutions unit also posted a 5% decrease in total revenue to $1.895bn.

Within the division, commission and fees were 4% lower for the quarter at $1.513bn.

The firm noted that there was a 9% negative currency impact and that overall organic growth was 4%.

Within this part of the group, the breakdown showed that the international segment delivered a 9%
