Amlin disappointed with UK performance in 2014
COR for UK business grows to 105% from 100% the previous year.
Amlin said it was disappointed in the performance of its UK business after it posted GWP of £325.5m for the full year 2014, a decrease on the £334m reported in 2013.
However the insurer highlighted the fact that it moved £35.5m worth of GWP from the UK business to its Amlin London business.
The combined operating ratio (COR) deteriorated to 105%, a jump on the 100% recorded the previous year.
The results stated that "the overall result for the business was disappointing".
