Former FSA man in running to chair Towergate
Reports say John Tiner set to replace Alastair Lyons as Towergate chair.
John Tiner is the leading candidate to replace Alastair Lyons as Towergate chairman according to reports.
The Financial Times claimed that Tiner, who is an ex-chief executive of the now defunct Financial Services Authority, is in the running to lead the consolidator following its buyout by unsecured creditors.
Tiner ran the FSA between 2003 and 2007 and, despite criticism of the regulator under his stewardship, there is speculation that Towergate will find his regulatory experience useful due to
