Profits flat at Willis in 2014

Willis Insurance UK posts “low single digits” fall in organic commission and fees for final quarter.

Willis Group has reported a profit of $362m [£237.2m] for 2014 in line with the $365m achieved the year before.

Total commissions and fees came in at $3.78bn for the twelve months compared to $3.63bn in 2013 as the broking firm noted that organic growth over the period was 3.8%.

In the final quarter of the year profit rose to $76m from $68m in the final quarter of 2013 while revenue hit $939m (Q4 2103: $911m).
