Willis promotes Philip Smaje as broking chief of new GB unit

Smaje steps up from aerospace role.

Willis Group has promoted Philip Smaje to the position of chief broking officer for its new division Willis GB, the operating segment that includes Willis' UK retail insurance, facultative and London specialty businesses.

In his new role he will work with Jonathan Prinn, deputy chief broking officer for Willis GB and be responsible for the broking strategy.

Smaje will report to Nicolas Aubert, CEO of Willis UK Insurance who has joined from AIG.
