Hyperion and R K Harrison merger talks still ongoing

Hyperion chief executive David Howden said its a sizeable merger and will take time.

Hyperion Insurance Group's chief executive, David Howden, has told Insurance Age that a precise timescale cannot be put on any eventual merger with R K Harrison.

He was speaking as the group posted revenue of £199m for the year to the end of September which is a 19% increase on the previous 12-month period. Revenue for the company's broking division rose 14% year-on-year to £143.5m.

Hyperion announced in November that it had entered into exclusive merger discussions with R K Harrison.

Broking profits fall at Saga
