Cash for crash fraudsters jailed
Sentences passed following LV and Esure fraud cases.
Three people have been jailed and one received a suspended sentence following the exposure of a 'cash for crash' scheme by insurers LV and Esure.
Abdul Jamil, 47 of Bradford, said his taxi was hit by a vehicle insured by LV. Jamil also claimed he had two passengers in the taxi at the time of the incident, Shamila Saleem 47, and Farhana Kazami 42, both also from Bradford.
All three tried to claim compensation from LV for injuries, and Jamil tried to claim compensation for vehicle repairs and
