Thistle takes six from Towergate

Welcome mat

Slew of senior hires for JLT-owned Thistle and Compass businesses.

Thistle has appointed six people in management roles all of whom join from troubled consolidator Towergate.

Amanda Walton is set to join as managing director, retail. She comes from Towergate's Direct Business where she has been interim CEO for the past year.

Peter Newson is set to come on board in 2015 as managing director, professional indemnity. He was MD of Towergate Underwriting Financial Risks and Towergate London Markets PI Broking.

Mark Richardson will be PI Underwriter and Thistle said
