Hamilton and Sportscover confirm takeover deal
Insurer to take over Sportscover’s managing agent and Lloyd’s broker.
Bermuda-based Hamilton Insurance has agreed to take over Sportscover Underwriting - Sportscover's Lloyd's managing agent.
Sportscover will continue to provide the syndicate with its sport and leisure business.
The two parties announced in September that they were in exclusive talks.
As part of the agreement Hamilton will also take control of Kinetic Insurance Brokers, a Lloyd's broker of Sportcover's parent company Wild Goose Holdings.
