UK General extends Ireland business

Provider also appoints Nicola Sumner as director of insurance.

UK General is to extend its footprint in Ireland and has pledged to underwrite in new areas outside of the capacity of its existing providers.

UK General CEO Peter Hubbard, said: "We expect to be ramping up our business to grow in areas outside the underwriting appetite of our current capacity providers, including any business we write outside the UK, especially in Ireland, where we have recently received regulatory approval to write motor insurance."

The company has also appointed Nicola Sumner
