Towers Watson warns of "bubbling cauldron of issues" in motor market

Big data, telematics and driverless cars all have the potential to shape motor insurance.

There is a "bubbling cauldron of issues ready to scald unwary UK motor insurers" according to Towers Watson.

In the short- to medium-term, the company's annual UK Motor Insurance Industry Report points to continuing business volatility and uncertainty created by both recent and anticipated legislative and regulatory changes.

Looking further ahead, the report investigates the potential impact and opportunities relating to a number of major developments affecting the industry.
