Banks ups UKIP donation to £1m

Broker increased donation citing William Hague calling him a “nobody”.

Arron Banks, former chief executive of Brightside and founder of Go Skippy, has upped his donation to the UK Independence Party to £1m following his switch from backing the Conservative party.

It had been reported that Banks' previous donations to the Tories totalled £250,000 however they questioned this claim putting the figure at £25,000.

Banks, who revealed to Insurance Age his plans to stand in the general election as a candidate for UKIP in his local area of Thornley and Yate

ALA expands range with pothole insurance

Yorkshire-based GAP insurance provider ALA Insurance has expanded its product offering with the launch of a specialist pothole insurance policy, in a move it claimed targets one of the “more persistent and costly problems facing UK motorists”.
