Leslie Hughes wins achievement prize at UK Broker Awards 2014
Industry celebrates best of broking talent.
Over 400 attendees at the Insurance Age UK Broker Awards 2014 celebrated the success of the broking industry last week.
Leslie Hughes, chairman at Hughes Insurance, scooped the achievement award after nearly 50 years in the industry.
The audience heard how Hughes started his own broking business in 1977, from his very own back bedroom, and grew the company to £70m of gross written premium with over 300 staff in 12 locations.
