Swinton acquires broker books in Wales

Firm says it is "always in the market" for deals.

Swinton has acquired the commercial and personal lines books of E W Southall Insurance & Estate Agents Limited.

The Aberdare-based broker’s commercial clients will transfer to Swinton Commercial in Bridgnorth, while the firm’s personal lines clients will transfer to Swinton’s Caerphilly branch. The directors of E W Southall are to retire.

A spokesperson for Swinton said that although the broker is currently finalising a number of new acquisitions it is always in the market for the right business
