Smith proud of the Zurich story
CEO aims to maintain consistency in year-end results as first half sees improvement in all key metrics.
Dave Smith, CEO for Zurich's UK general insurance business, has lauded the provider's half year results which saw it increase gross written premium, business operating profit and improve its combined operating ratio.
"It is a great story and a strong set of results with improvement in all key metrics in a steady and sustainable fashion," Smith told Insurance Age.
"We are very pleased with the progress we have made while we see the ups and downs going on around us."
